Privacy policy of A Fuse in Time

A Fuse in Time · Last updated 22 October 2026

The game has no accounts, no analytics and no tracking of its own. What it stores stays on your device and never reaches us. The only personal data involved comes with the ads in the Android version from Google Play: Google processes it to show ads, and you decide about personalised ads in a consent form.

Who is responsible

DNSTUFF s. r. o., Drozdia ulica 4371/14B, 900 25 Chorvátsky Grob (company details in the legal notice). For any question about this policy or your data, write to us at this address.

What the game stores on your device

Your saved games, your settings (language, sound, text size and the like) and your achievements are kept in the game's data folder on your device:

The game does not send these files to us or to anyone else. Deleting the folder, or uninstalling the app on Android or from the Microsoft Store, removes them. The game does not read your contacts, photos, files, location or microphone, and on Windows, Linux and macOS it does not use the internet, apart from what Steam does (below).

The Steam version

If you get the game on Steam, Valve Corporation processes your Steam account, your library and your play time under Valve's privacy policy. The game tells Steam which achievements you have unlocked and reads the language you use in Steam. If Steam Cloud is on, Steam keeps a copy of your saved games and settings so you can continue on another computer. We receive only anonymous, summarised statistics from Steam, such as how many players own the game or unlocked an achievement.

The Android version from Google Play

Ads

The Android version is free and shows ads from Google AdMob: an optional short video that reveals the next hint, and a full-screen ad before every fifth trip on the map. To show ads, count them and prevent fraud, Google's ads software in the app collects and processes data such as the device's advertising ID, the IP address (from which an approximate location can be derived), information about the device and the app, how you interact with the ads, and diagnostic data. Google processes this data as a controller under its own terms: see how Google uses information from apps that use its services and Google's privacy policy.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the app first shows Google's consent form. Personalised ads are shown only if you agree; otherwise Google shows non-personalised ads, which still use some data, for example to limit how often an ad appears and to detect fraud. You can change your choice at any time in the game: Settings → Game → Ad privacy settings. You can also reset or delete the advertising ID in your Android settings.

Removing the ads

A one-time purchase removes all ads. Google Play handles the payment; we never see your payment details. The game only receives Google Play's confirmation that the purchase exists, so that it can switch the ads off, also after a reinstall.

Google Play

Downloading and updating the app through Google Play is processed by Google under Google's privacy policy. We receive only anonymous, summarised statistics and crash reports from Google Play Console.

Age

The Android version with ads is meant for players aged 13 and over.

itch.io and the Microsoft Store

If you download the game from itch.io, itch.io processes your visit, your account if you have one, and the download under itch.io's privacy policy. If you get it from the Microsoft Store, Microsoft processes your Microsoft account, the download and the updates under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. We receive only summarised statistics from them, such as the number of downloads. The game itself behaves as described above and shows no ads outside the Android version.

Legal bases

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), personalised ads rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time in the game's settings. Non-personalised ads rely on our legitimate interest in financing a free game (Article 6(1)(f)), and the purchase that removes the ads on the performance of that contract (Article 6(1)(b)).

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent. We hold no personal data about you ourselves; for ad data, Google's tools at My Ad Center and in your Google account are the quickest way. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live or work.
